the unclean shall not pass over it, and fools shall not err therein."

God’s Favor for Growth

Early in the year of 2004, the word from Isaiah 61: 1-2a was quickened to a small group of us gathered for prayer in Baltimore. The same word was again given by the Lord at praise and worship shortly thereafter, emphasis being on God’s favor. The following lists some of the results at the Bealeton Center. Moravian Falls has a separate report following:
        * The Lord brought several local people into the fellowship, including families.
        * He graciously set several people free of fear, and distress which resulted in building                                                   reconciliation within family members.
        * We witnessed a miracle healing of Multiple Sclerosis and depression for a gentleman.
        * A team was able to make a fantastic trip to Indonesia.
        * In October, we held a first discipleship training for 1 week.
        * After discipleship training, God lead us to prayer walk in local towns for an outpouring of The
Holy Spirit and reach out to souls for His Kingdom.
Our hearts are so thankful for the above signs of His favor toward The Holy Way, U.S.A.
at Bealeton, and we give God praise and thanks!  However, there is so much more in store for this ministry which hasn’t been untapped. The warfare has been great, and we ask if you would graciously uphold us in prayer so that we might be open to “hear what the Spirit is saying to us!”

A WORD from THE LORD

“ I use such simple things and casual moments to reveal Myself to mankind. He or she can meet Me in the common ways of life, --- if having but eyes to see and ears to hear.”  “No great sign or signs nothing spectacular is needed.” “In the seemingly incidentals along the road of life, I meet with him or her, and reveal My will, My purposes, My guidance. No miles to walk  no long journey to travel, no strange language to learn, no state of ecstacy to be experienced first.”
“Think on these things!”  “Recall our many meetings by the wayside.”

MORAVIAN FALLS UPDATE

We were quite busy in the Fall of 2004 with a trip to Utah so Fr. Mike could officiate at the wedding of Philip and Selah. We had met Philip at a Rainbow Gathering in the mountains here in North Carolina about 2 years before. He came to The Holy Way center at Moravian Falls for discipleship training. Ever since then he has been out seeking “ lost sheep.” At present, the newlyweds are staying with our dear friends Ernest and Lohetta Griesel, better known as Grandma and Grandpa. They have a powerful ministry to Rainbow People of which we have at times been a part. After leaving Utah, we traveled on to California where we did ministry with the Hispanic groups that the Lord has brought into The Holy Way. The Spirit of the Lord moved over the meetings and blessed us as much as the people who attended. God is so awesome!
Back home to North Carolina, we were blessed this past year to have Pat Acker come on staff with us. She did an awesome job in prayer and ministry. Recently she moved on especially to assist her mother in making transition, but her plan is to settle in the Moravian Falls area with possible plans for a Holy Way annex. We are so excited about this possibility. Also, another prospect is Cheryl Fenstermaker who has committed 6 months to us as a staff member. She too is a real blessing to us.
We continue to take in young people who are seeking the Lord. Currently with us is a 17 year old girl who received the Lord and was baptized.  The day that she prayed to receive Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord, she was delivered from all cravings for drugs. She is so excited about what God has done for her, and witnesses to everyone about it. It’s a wonderful thing to see.
At this time we are in prayer about 4 troubled young people who desire to come to us for discipleship training. We are often asked just what we do here at The Holy Way, NC. A big part of what we do is to take in those who are seeking God, for a time of discipleship. Some have a background of drugs and other problems and want to give themselves to the Lord and get their lives straightened out. Others do not have these problems in their lives, but are simply seeking a time apart with the Lord to grow in a deeper relationship with Him. Either way, we offer them the opportunity to do this, enabling them to seek His face here.
We meet for worship at 9 a.m and 7 p.m. each day of the week except Wednesdays. On Sundays, we attend whatever church is desired. Anyone can attend our worship times and all are welcome! Also, the 1st weekend of the month, we offer a mini Holy convocation. If you would like to attend, just call ahead of time at 336 838-2148.
We have been praying that the Lord would raise up intercessors for us and the ministry here. If you are led by The Holy Spirit to pray for us, please let us know by dropping a line to: THWMac@aol.com. We would be truly grateful for this support!

YOU MAY BE WONDERING ? ? ?

.   .   .   And rightfully so!  The original vision of The Holy Way was to establish a solid base of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by establishing bible training centers and fellowships in Indonesia. This arduous task was accomplished successfully by Edwin B. Stube who after 12 years of labor and service there, placed the work in the hands of the nationals back in the 70's. It is now carried on by The Holy Way Foundation where reports will follow. The group which chose to separate itself, now known as The Holy Way Evangelical Church has its own mission. We are not affiliated with The Holy Way Evangelical Church in America or Indonesia. (See newsletter issue Oct.-Dec. 2004, on Internet.)
The Lord made it clear over recent years, even before Fr. Stube’s death that The Holy Way, Indonesia is self-supportive. Why? Because of its faith and trust in Jesus, Jehovah-Jireh as provider of every need. Therefore, the relationship between us ever since has been one of prayer, encouragement and communication with financial aid given only in certain situations as discerned prayerfully by The Holy Spirit.
Essentially, The Holy Way/U.S.A. was raised up to lead Christians into a more fruitful Spirit-filled life. How we all long to see the American church return to a role of “doors that never shut,” because of Holy Spirit empowerment which presently is so sadly absent. So then, this is our mission field,  at Bealeton and Moravian Falls, reaching out to “lost” souls, especially youth, and  ministering the gifts of healing and deliverance to individuals and families to be set free in Jesus! And guess what? It’s happening!
One thing vital for all of us in the ministry is to keep in mind, that ultimate trust in the Lord was the absolute in making The Holy Way great foundationally.  Trust coupled with Unity is essential for Kingdom growth!  That is why even today we do not have fund raisers or make constant appeals for money or use gimmicks.  We know that when people encounter the living God and see the power of The Holy Spirit radically change lives formerly in bondage, the natural response is to give and give and give! To give in worship, in praise and song, to give in compassion, and  service, to give in talents, to give in caring, to give in communication and to give in monies!  All done in love, to the Glory of the Lord!  Hallelujah!

The Holy Way Foundation Reports
Manado, North Sulawesi

To my dear brother and sister, Herry and Dolly, and everyone at The Holy Way,
Greetings in the Name of our dear Lord Jesus Christ!  Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!

Since you returned home to the states last year  after your visit to Manado, we who are members of The Holy Way Foundation here in Sulawesi have been strengthened more than ever to serve Christ and make His Kingdom expand in all the earth!
As of tomorrow, the leaders of the Bible Training Center here, will gather with the parents of 24 students to pray before sending them out. They are prepared now to go back to their own villages and islands for ministry. They will be sent to Sonder, Liwutung, Wanga, Wulur Maatus, Kota Mubagu, Tondano, Pulau Tagulandang, Pulau Talaud, East Java and Sete. When these young people leave, we will be getting more students for training. Already there are six new students with us, ready for training. Our prayer is, that this kind of discipleship training will get to 30 provinces in Indonesia eventually.  This type of teaching is what we received from Opa Stube. He left it with us to win souls here and all over the world, and that is why we hold onto it steadfastly.
My brother Herry, there are many religious schools for young Indonesians that promote extremism.   I urge you my brother that you and your people speak forth and prophesy to  any country that supports terrorism. Prophesy that they might come to repentance.
Recently, our city was invaded by many unwelcome intruders, Moslem Jihad extremists. Then more  from other countries joined them. They came with one purpose, that is to destroy  the city, then hit the Christian community as the last target. They had already succeeded in making chaos in Ambon, Poso, Tantena and other Christian cities. Well we mobilized the believers in Manado and began to fight them in prayer of the Holy Spirit. We went to all the entrances and borders of the city, anointing with oil in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Praise the Lord! God rescued our city from blood shed!
Since these events happened, revelation became really clear about power struggles. It made the recent split within the Holy Way in Indonesia  seem even more painful, because it divided us in two. So now we have  The Holy Way Evangelical Church and those of us here who hold to the original vision, known as The Holy Way Foundation. Well, we will go forward in that vision where we continue to  train young people to go out with the Gospel message, to heal the sick, to become peacemakers to broken families, to open the eyes of the blind and speak to the lame, “Stand up and walk!” Then only do the demons flee, and when this happens, God brings peace in the midst of a war zone. We continue to pray for growth so that training centers will spread in all the provinces, just as Fr. Stube had envisioned in the beginning. Hallelujah!
This coming month, we will get together with elders, deacons and intercessors, expecting about 200 people. We will extend your greetings!
Please remember to give greetings from the congregation of North Sulawesi, to beautiful Mom Pat and Mom Lolli. Our prayer is that they will be back again to Indonesia.

From Philipus Sukamto, Elizabeth, Tirzah, Eleazar and
the entire family of the Holy Way Foundation in North Sulawesi.

The Holy Way Foundation Reports
Lawang, East Java

After a long time of prayer, gathered with the Body of Christ, God gave a vision that we need to begin reaching out to the community surrounding us. First, this will be through prayer and second by explaining who we are. God is Good!
Currently, twelve churches are joining us for corporate worship. What a happening!
On the fourth weekend of the month, these churches send their congregations to have fellowship as The Body of Christ, where manifestations of the Spirit become real. The last time we met, around 400 people gathered at our place. It was a powerful ministry as we all met in unity.
The Pastors of these churches are beginning to have their spiritual eyes opened. They realize the need to have fellowship like this with The Holy Way Foundation. Fears and threats are disappearing since they are experiencing this new freedom of worship in the Spirit. We are not operating as an organization, but as a living organism. Consequently, the churches have been opening their arms wide. God is opening a new chapter for us!
Sometimes we get intimidations and words that curse, but God said to us that we need to continue to forgive and pray for these people. God is Good!
Just last week, The Holy Way Foundation sent out Philipus Sukamto and one of the elders from Jakarta to Batam Island, to open a new Bible Training Center there. Please pray for them and all of us, that The Holy Way Foundation will be faithful to serve Jesus Christ according to the original vision.
We will have our first Holy Convocation in June 2005, and will inform you more about this later.
God bless you and all at The Holy Way/USA

THE TSUNAMI

Many people contacted us shortly after the horrific news about the earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia. Thanks be to God, none of our own were affected. Actually,  the earthquake was under the Indian Ocean  way up on the northern tip of Sumatra in the province of Aceh. An associate and friend, who labored in Aceh for many years, flew over there as soon as possible after the catastrophe and is still doing relief work Her recent letter spoke of assisting 31 doctors from Australia with other women learning nursing skills stat, or helping with banking needs or trying to gather food from every possible source for some villages that had not yet had contact.
As for financial aid, we suggest agencies such as World Relief - CBN Operation Blessing, who are based in Indonesia. -  Red Cross - CARE - Catholic or Lutheran Relief Services, GFA, Gospel for Asia or any such similar agencies.
Let us continue to uphold this massive work of mercy to suffering peoples whose lives have been devastated beyond our comprehension
