"A highway shall be there and it shall be called The Holy Way;
the unclean shall not pass over it, and fools shall not err therein."

THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH

Fr. Edwin Stube

Truth

The very nature of the heart of God, the father and God the Son, is truth.  There is no deceit, no error in Him.  Jesus came full of grace and truth.  It is impossible for God to lie, for truth is the very substance of His nature.
When He went away, Jesus promised His bewildered disciples that He would pray the father to send another Comforter, the Spirit of Truth.

Deception

The Spirit of  the antichrist is  rapidly at work  deceiving all that  are not filled with  the love of the  truth (Mat 13:24-30; II Thess 2:7-11; Rev 12). He is  the spirit of error  (I John 4:6).  He  is coming under  the guise of the Lord Jesus, imitating the love of God, the gifts of the Spirit, and the blessings of the Lord.  He often imparts spurious anointing to preach, lay on of hands, prophesy, perform miracles, and even to impart a so-called Baptism. This is a delight to the emotions and satisfied the religious nature, but leads to death.

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.  They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

Even though there seems to be much visible result, there is not a real revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ in it, nor is there everlasting salvation.
The evil one has looked with covetous eyes at the Kingdom of God and has seen the coming end-time harvest and the restoration of the Kingdom of God. He has not seen the righteousness, purity, and truth that must be the governing power of it, but has lusted for the miracle power that God will manifest to bring into being both the harvest and the Kingdom.
He has sent forth his ministers to perform miracles that have glorified man and not the Lord Jesus.  It is all being done in the name of the Lord, but it is not being done by His command or by His Spirit. It has created a false appetite for the spectacular. It has satisfied the religious emotions of multitudes, and fed the false spirit, but it has not brought them into a knowledge of the Lord Jesus, nor into a dependence on His shed blood, nor into a life of the Truth.

God's Word is Truth

In the heart of the good seed is righteousness purity, and truth, These things are the strength of the Kingdom of God, In the eyes of God the impartation of these qualities into the deeps of His own people are the greater miracles. Later the lesser, but more visible miracles can come forth, The Kingdom of God is being established as God gives and we receive His righteousness, purity, and truth, and all the nature of God,
The strength of the Kingdom of God is the love of the Truth, The antichrist hates the love of the Truth, for those possessing it cannot be deceived (II Thess 2:10), and by it the true moving of the Spirit of God is recognized. By it we have power to resist the error, delusion, and unrighteousness of antichrist's kingdom.
God's Word must be truth — that is, correct, right, accurate — for He is Truth, and His Word is Himself. You cannot separate Christ from His Word.  In His Word is the correct way. When we fully accept Him as Truth and His Word as the expression of Himself, life will become simple for us, for we will believe and act continuously on His Word in childlike simplicity,

The Love of the Truth

What is the solution? The impartation of the love of the Truth. Then into the love of the Truth, He will send the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, "When He, the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13).
The love of the Truth receives the Spirit of Truth and sends it out through the spiritual creation of the individual, and also into the whole Body of Christ, for the Spirit is forming a body for Him to dwell in (Eph 2:21).
We might as well be honest with ourselves and God by facing the fact that none of us loves the Truth deeply enough, especially concerning ourselves. We may superficially admit a few minor failings, but if the Lord begins to move in on them and begins to uncover the depths behind these "failings" we are greatly offended.

Searching the Hearts

God is sounding an alarm to awaken us out of our spiritual sleep and delusion that all is well. The love of the Truth is not in the natural man, but is a quality that God puts in our spirit that causes us to hunger and thirst after the truth. And Christ Himself is that Truth.
The love of the Truth will enable us to know the truth about ourselves. David had not been convinced about his sin concerning Bathsheba and Uriah, for his plan had worked smoothly.  But he had a measure of "truth in the inward parts," which is the love of the Truth.  When the Lord sent the prophet to him saying, "You are the man," David immediately admitted that he was the man. The deep repentance which followed is recorded for us in Psalm 51.
God has made a covenant with us, which is: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (II Chron 7:14). Before we can turn from our "wicked ways," we must have the capacity in us to receive the uncovering of our true spiritual condition.  Only the love of the Truth will enable us to do this, followed by a mighty filling of the Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit has come to convict us of sin, righteousness, and judgement. The spirit of Truth will open our eyes to see our great need of being purged from selfishness, lukewarmness, materialism, lust, stubbornness, rebellion, disobedience, and a thousand other things.

Unlocking the Revelation

The Spirit of Truth will always bear witness to Jesus (John 15:26).  After Christ's ascension, His disciples were still in semi-darkness, even though they had seen Him after His Resurrection.  There was still much mystery about it and parts of it had been a real nightmare.
But when the Holy Spirit was poured out, He filled each of them, unlocking the revelation of Christ to them. They began to understand all that had been imparted into them before and after the Resurrection. Salvation was released that day, that transformed the lives of multitudes.
The pressure of the Holy Spirit was so intense that there was no more temptation to go back to the fish nets.  The need of the hungry was before them, and at last they had bread to give.  So they "went everywhere preaching the Word." Preaching the Word, His Word, is Truth (John 17:17).  They were filled with truth.  They were dedicated to preaching the Truth.
The Spirit of Truth had put a fire in them that could not be put out by any amount of persecution. "They loved not their lives unto the death." People put them in prison, beat them, threw them to the lions; but the Spirit of Truth was abiding and burning in them.  Holy fire from the Altar in heaven had been put in their spirits.  There was no bending or breaking under the floggings, railings, and persecutions of error, unrighteousness, and delusion.
The Spirit of Truth prevailed, and after a few decades the whole world was shaken.
Christ is eagerly waiting to send a mighty unfolding of Himself and to unleash to this generation His power and might.  The key is the fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. There is a great desire and yearning in the heart of the Lord to send this visitation.  He is calling for intercessors to let Christ The Intercessor intercede through them, to press the hand of the Father, to send the longed for Holy Spirit, even the Spirit of Truth.

Hear the Word of the Lord:

You have fought many imaginary battles against imaginary forces, for the warfare wasn't what you thought it was at all.  The enemy disguisedhimself and was looking like someone else. But as you drink deeply of the Spirit of Truth, the Lord will put sight into your eyes and hearing into your ears, to hear the voice of the Lord and to know also the voice of the enemy.

The Lord will take you to a new level by the Spirit of Truth. The Spirit of the mighty Lord Himself will be the Truth in you and will shine out through you. The Word will be upon your lips, and will be in your hand as a mighty sword.  The Truth will be in you as the Lord.

 VOICE OF AMERICA

What a wonderful privilege when The Voice of America asked me to speak about the meaning of Christmas. During an hour on the air, I tried speaking as much as possible about the Prince of  Peace that is Jesus himself. During that time, I had the opportunity to receive calls from listeners  (some of them were Moslems)  asking question about Peace and Life. I shared with them that the real Peace and Life can only be found in the life of Jesus Christ. It has been my prayer that God will water the seeds that have been planted in the hearts of listeners, that will grow and many will become followers of the Messiah. Amen!

HERALDING THE BIRTH OF THE LORD

On a warm winter's evening, a few days before Christmas, a group of Holy Way people went caroling. About 12 of us and two guitars went to several neighbors of the Stube's in Bealeton, and then to the town of Remington.  One of the families we sang for was from Mexico. We sang Felice Navidad for them in English and then in Spanish. We also encountered a Baptist minister and shared with him. The evening was begun with a dinner that was put together by The Lord. It was perfect! Everyone brought something and it was a feast we all enjoyed. We were happy to walk and sing to try and work off some of the calories we consumed. The evening was concluded at Pat and Peggy's house to enjoy, of course, more food and cider.

ANNUAL MEETING JANUARY 17, 2004.

The Annual meeting weekend at Bealeton, Virginia found our center with a packed house to worship and praise the Lord. Like His first Disciples we came together to worship Him and seek His vision for His Ministry. We were blessed with the presence of people from Colorado,  Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and Indonesia. Great delight was felt by all as we heralded the Lord in our thankfulness of being together with one another.
On Friday morning The Holy Way Board of Directors met for their first meeting of the New Year. A presentation was made by the architect/contractor, of the proposed extension to the existing Prayer House. Sketches were presented and reviewed by the Board Members. Some new thoughts and recommendations were exchanged. Based on this new information, the decision was made to once again bring this project before the Lord in prayer.
Saturday morning worship was filled with many examples of declarations of the Lord's word manifested in readings, visions with interpretations and prophesies. After having received the scripture Isaiah 61, several times during Holy Way prayer meetings, there was a feeling of expectancy and excitement. The sense was the Lord has many new experiences waiting for The Holy Way in 2004.
The afternoon Annual open meeting  was punctuated with the Secretary's report presented by Bill Martin giving the achievements and highlights of 2003. The next item on the agenda was the election of Board Members and Officers. A motion was made to elect the current Officers and Board for another year. This motion was seconded and passed. The following Officers and Directors were therefore elected for the year 2004.

    READERS WRITE

 Dear Lolli,

One of the many highlights of our trip to Australia was a youth group we were asked to visit. We checked with their leader ... were they Spirit baptized?  "Nope, but they're ready - feel free." Well it was a great session with them - Jesus saying it would be better for you if I go - for I will send the Friend. Spoke with them about how hard it is to leave people you love - but Jesus said it would be better because of the Holy Spirit coming. All but one wanted to receive their new Friend - and they all received the gift of tongues and then we taught them to lay hands on the sick. There were many healings from sports strains,  etc.
A man came to the 4:00 meeting by Holy Spirit "mistake." The adult service didn't start until 7:30. So I had two girls lay hands on him. At dinner the man told me he had been seriously injured in a motor cycle accident years before - and had a healing when the girls prayed: he could still feel the Holy Spirit power at work in his body! Wasn't that wonderful? That night I invited whatever youth had been at the earlier meeting to lay hands for healing on the sick with the Bridge for Peace team. A 13 year old received an immediate healing. After that he was following me around, helping pack up - I said to the Lord, "Lord, this boy wants something." Finally he asked me about "that language" I was speaking in the service. "Oh, I said, "were you at the youth meeting today?" "No, he said, but my sister was." I explained about tongues and asked if he wanted to receive the Holy Spirit baptism. "Yes." He received tongues instantly and wrote a testimony. He said, "I never knew my whole life could be changed in 5 minutes." Wasn't that awesome?
Thanks for your prayers - much love,
