HOLY CONVOCATION
 July 20 - 25, 2003

Dear Reader's,

In reminiscing about this profound week when a group of saints gathered together at Bealeton  to seek His face, the Father responded to our worship, prayers and waiting to hear His voice by pouring out His love lavishly!

It occurred to us on our last days together as a group, that having Holy Convocation on the premises for the very  first time, bore great significance. Many people had walked the land prayerfully for months and years before construction began.

With this being our 25th year of holding Holy Convocations, God did His new thing in Bealeton.  This land consecrated to the Lord, is "holy ground!" Consequently, our offerings became as "first fruits" unto the Lord. Hallelujah!

This issue of the newsletter is dedicated to our latest Holy Convocation and  includes excerpts  covering the entire week.  We pray that the content will bring you great blessing!

"I will instruct and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you and watch over you."
  Psalm 32:8

IN THE BEGINNING

On Sunday evening we gathered in the upper room of the Prayer House. After each attendee had been prayed-in, convocation began.  Praise,  Singing in the Spirit, Worship, Tongues & Interpretation continued for five days.

We realize some of you may be scratching your heads and saying, "Just what is Holy Convocation?" Well, from it's origin in The Old Testament, the Lord Himself ordained it as a time for His people to come apart from the world and its tensions, just to be present to Him. This meant setting aside schedules, jobs, responsibilities and other plans for the period appointed. Some references are found in the KJV, Exodus 12 and Leviticus 23.

Concerning The Holy Way, it was twenty five years ago exactly that the Lord gave a vision simultaneously to Fr. Stube and the Martin's to begin a yearly Holy Convocation for anyone "hungry" to come apart from all activity and busyness, just to be with Him.

It is a most wonderful time to worship Jesus, always looking to The Holy Spirit to lead us.  It is a time to share His love with others through exercising the gifts.(1Cor.14:26) It is a time to come to know Him in a new way; a time to hear His voice in the stirring times of silence. It is a time to be healed and to receive ministry, to find new freedom in the Spirit. It is genuinely a time of refreshment and renewal of faith.  It is a time of fun and fellowship.  Yes, we do enjoy delicious meals together. Break time also provides opportunity to get acquainted with newcomers, to rest or to play some sports, especially with the children. This year, we were especially blessed that three families took part.

Finally, Holy Convocation builds unity like unto the Godhead, to the Glory of the Father! With this said, let's look at some Prayers, Teachings, Words of Wisdom, etc. that took place between  July 20 and  July 25, this year.

PRAYER
We come to You. We come before You Lord Jesus. Help us to enter in. Lord, You have gathered Your little flock here this week to seek Your face.  We would ask you to search out our hearts. Use your plumb line O Lord to get us lined up with Your will. We thank You Lord, we bless You! We ask You to come and cleanse us!
WORD
The Lord says that we are to have a spirit of expectancy!
TEACHING
Even though Moses could not enter the Promised Land,  God fulfilled his desire at The Transfiguration. May we be open to be changed.
WORD OF WISDOM
After doing spiritual warfare "at a gate" in intercession, the Lord showed me: All the good things you do, you forfeit the very best. Not that we should stop doing good things, but God has the very best. He will show each and every one of us many things this week. Then we will be able to go forth having new discernment, in order to do His best!
PRAYER
We do repent Father. Purify our hearts. No other God! No other King! No other Name, save the Lord Jesus Christ! We praise you! We bless You! We thank You Lord that You hear our prayer, for we come in Your Name!
TEACHING
The Lord says: "I laid the foundation." We must build on the foundation that is Jesus Christ. We are the temple of God. Everything He has is ours. We must not have a divided heart.
WORSHIP IN SONG
Fall down and  worship God seated on the throne! Bless  our God all you His servants, both great  and small. Then a voice came from the  throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you  His servants and those who fear Him,  both small and great. Hallelujah! For the  Lord our God the Almighty reigns!" For  the marriage of the Lamb has come, and  His wife has made herself ready. (From  Rev. 19)
WORD OF WISDOM
God wants to  take us up into another realm of the  ladder (which was seen earlier in a  vision,). He's called us to look upon His  throne and come into His throne room. I  believe the Lord is saying to us,"Beloved,  are you afraid to be silent even for a little  while? Come into the stillness with Me  where you can listen to My heartbeat. I  long to be with you in an intimate way."  "Yes there are times for praises and song,  but there is a special time for Holy  silence." Holy silence is not just a time  absent of words and sounds, but it is alive  by My Spirit. Come in! Enter in and see  what you will learn of Me!"
TEACHING
In Exodus 33, we learn  about Moses' relationship with the Lord,  that the Lord spoke to him as a friend. In  vs. 18, Moses said to the Lord, "I beseech  Thee, show me Thy glory." And the Lord  said, "I will make all My goodness pass before thee and I will proclaim the Name of the Lord before thee." "I will be gracious unto whom I will be gracious and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."  — Moses said show me Thy glory and the Lord said that He would show him His goodness. So goodness is a part of the Lord's glory, and He said He would proclaim the Name of the Lord, so His Name is also part of His glory. In Ezek. 1:28, the Word of God speaks about the glory of God and the appearance like a rainbow. This was the likeness of the glory of God. Of course the bow in the cloud was placed there initially after the flood, as a covenant between God and man, that He would never again judge the earth with a flood. But why would He use a rainbow? Well because the Word of God says that everything must be established in the mouth of two or three witnesses. The rainbow is made of three primary colors. In fact all colors come from those three. Blue in the scripture stands for God the Father; gold or yellow stands for the Holy Spirit and red stands for the Son of God who shed His blood. So God was confirming what He said, His covenant in the mouth of three witnesses. God is a colorful God! If we are seeking the face of God, like Moses, we are saying, "Show me Lord your glory!" The glory is His goodness. The glory is His Name and the glory is colorful!  God doesn't want dead, drab religion. He wants bright colorful Christians who are filled with life. From Rev. 4 we read of the jasper stone. It is clear as crystal. This stands for the nature of our Lord Jesus Christ. There is no darkness or shadow of turning within Him at all. He is transparent. Then the sardius stone is blood red, and stands for the Lamb of God who shed His blood for the world. You might ask then, what about the Father and the Holy Spirit if Jesus is seated on the throne? Well the rainbow is roundabout the throne, like unto emerald. This color green is made up of the blue and yellow. So then Jesus is on the throne, but the Godhead is there. The Word of God in Col.2:9 says: In Him all the fullness of the Godhead dwelleth bodily and we are complete in Him. Someone here asked me, "What does the glorified church look like? Briefly and expansively, it looks like Jesus! As we are being changed from glory unto glory (2Cor.3:18) we appear as His glorious image. So we need to put all else aside, just looking to Jesus and our hearts should say,"Lord, show me Your glory." I want to be like You!
WORD & PROPHECY
God reminds me that He changes lives.  Just as the Israelites saw God's glory in the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night, He says to us, " I will reveal My glory among you this week. I hope you will be open to be changed so that I can use you to be a testimony to others."
PROPHETIC SONG
I have taken your eyes and I've taken the veil down. I have opened your ears and given new revelation. I will open your mouth and you will speak those words I give you. Not  generalizations, but specific words. I will  take your hands and I will train them up.  You will lay them on My people and bind  spirits, and the anointing will fall. And  your feet, - you will take those steps with  Me and I will anoint them. Wherever you  step, you will take the land. I have placed  within you this day a sponge of the Holy  spirit. All I have to do is press the sponge  to release the anointing. Go forth! My  people in the church are dying. Go forth  into your church. They are dying. My  people do not know Me! I have brought  you here for you are My disciples. Go  forth! Go forth! I have called you!
WORD
The first thing in seeking the Lord is humility. He will prepare our hearts if we are consistent. The heart is so important. We can do things traditionally, religiously or spiritually, but not necessarily with all our heart. God wants our hearts.
WORD OF WISDOM:
The gift that is within you, stir it up, stir it up! Share it with the Body. The Spirit of God speaks to us: "Be bold, be strong and speakforth the Word of the Lord!
In conclusion Beloved Members of The Holy Way,

there is such an abundance of God's  riches to share from Holy Convocation, that it would fill a book. However  we will conclude here, just mentioning that the Unity of the  Spirit was so strong, because every participant  came with an eager, open  heart.  Celebrating The Lord's Supper each day was a source of pure joy and grace! The ministry of The Holy Spirit was awesome! Many of us were healed, set free from bondage and truly elevated to a new realm of knowing Jesus in a way never known before. The food and fellowship were great too. I feel certain that each participant  would agree wholeheartedly with St. Paul, "It is no longer I who live, but Christ Jesus who lives within me."

Hallelujah!

ALL TO THE GLORY OF THE FATHER!

COMMENTS BY ATTENDEES

"This was our second convocation as a couple, and this year the addition of our baby, Jehudah. We enjoyed the discipline of silences. It was also particularly nice how each person came forth with a psalm, teaching or prophecy; also a relief that nobody rambled on. We were particularly blessed that several families took part."

 ****************************************************************************************

"Being my first time, I felt a lot of love and joy being here. Spending this week with wonderful Christians has brought me closer to Jesus our Lord. What an awesome time!"

 ***************************************************************************************

"Thanks to the Committee of Holy Convocation. Good Job! Praise the Lord for what He has done!"

****************************************************************************************

"Felt the presence of Christ as the Body came together in unity of the Spirit! It was wonderful!"

****************************************************************************************

"We are always grateful to be worshiping with the saints where scripture is fulfilled when"everyone of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, an interpretation or hath a revelation." 1Cor.14:26. What was also impressive is that all things were done, "decently and in order." 1Cor.14:40. The Lord was glorified in our midst!"

****************************************************************************************

"I loved the flow of The Holy Spirit by all participants. The Lord God was mighty in our midst! A true Holy Convocation, separate from the world and alive unto God! We came to worship Jesus and minister unto Him, and we really did! Hallelujah!"

**************************************************************************************** "An awesome first time experience in God's love. I can't imagine now, not being here in this "home"! All children of God united as "one;" family, loving, sharing in worship and praise together! The facilities and property are ideal for convocations."

GOD'S FAVOR

If you've never visited us here at Bealeton, you'll be surprised when you do! Surely it is a perfect example of "God's Favor" to a ministry that seeks to keep Him #1 in every way!
The grounds are spacious,  private and wood-like. The prayer house is an inviting place with sleeping quarters plus a very ample kitchen/dining area. The upper room or worship center is a lovely designed mega- room which is ideal for private or corporate worship.
Then there is a wonderful barn adjacent to the prayer house, with the beauty of grazing sheep in the pasture. The interior of this building offers several rooms of comfortable sleeping arrangements. For very large gatherings, there is also a larger barn.
A real sense of "family"happens here when the "saints" gather, with all pitching in on food costs and/or preparation, clean-up details and housekeeping. Also the need is vital to help occasionally with groundwork.
So here in beautiful Virginia close to Dulles airport, "Come," you will experience all of the above when you visit,  with the amenities of a huge fireplace in the kitchen/dining area and central air-conditioning.
We look forward to meeting you, hopefully soon!

Thank you so much for allowing us to join with you for a very special weekend and times in the Lord. Your love and blessings are truly a demonstration of Christ. We are confident it was a God appointed time that we came to visit and fellowship and are now waiting on God to see what is next. The Lord has taken something away from us in order to prepare me for something new. While it is very exciting, it also it an opportunity to further learn to trust on Him more completely. I don't yet know what God has in store but somehow I believe our paths will cross again.
May God continue to bless and uphold you.

I am very interested in your website.  Do you have any churches in the Los Angeles area (Indonesian or American) that are based on the pattern laid out by Fr. Stube in "According to the Pattern?"
Friday the 16th, we had our monthly Malaysian Prayer Fellowship meeting at my house.  Once a month we gather to devote an evening to prayer for the Malay-Muslim World. Present at the meeting were two retired missionaries (Fr. Walter Hannum of the Episcopal Church and David Brougham).  Also present was Gracie Ginting, wife of Yohannes Ginting.  Somehow, during the fellowship time after the meeting, we got to talking about the work of Fr. Stube in Indonesia.  I had heard titbits about him in the past, but my curiosity was sparked by David's account of the miraculous signs and wonders that had accompanied Fr. Stube's work.
After the meeting I plugged Fr. Stube's name into Google on the internet and found your website.  Currently I have read most of "According to the Pattern."  I have been searching and just maybe I have found the answer.  I am most interested in your work and in your response.  I am hoping to be able to connect with a fellowship of Christians that is carrying out the pattern as laid of by Fr. Stube.
